Our Pastors

Toye and Ediri Sobande are the Lead Pastors of The Captain’s House. After decades of following a passion for reaching people for Jesus, God led them with the vision to start The Captain’s House. They love God and love people deeply, with a passion for seeing the lost meet, Jesus.

They have served local churches across different continents in several capacities. They were pastoring campus fellowships, launching new satellite campuses, mentoring, and recruiting leaders, overseeing small groups, coaching new pastors and consulting with churches to enhance their quality of administration and leadership effectiveness.

As career professionals and consultants, God positioned them to learn from some of the best teachers of the word, business strategists, church leaders, and global consulting firms. Working in such an environment allowed them to understand the tools of developing winning teams, establishing, and communicating vision and the best forms of execution. But, as only God could orchestrate, the years that followed for both of them represented an opportunity to discover a greater calling through the local Church, allowing for the influence of millions of souls that would come to know Christ.

Their heartbeat is to plant life-giving churches that influence the community, the marketplace, and the Church, as well as millions of people across the globe. They are called to teach the eternal truth of the Word of God and mobilize individuals and families to live them out in their everyday lives. Together, they have two children – Jemimah and Alexander.
